I. School Profile
Shandong Vocational College of Science and Technology is a provincial public full-time higher vocational institution located in WeiFang, Shandong—a nationally recognized civilized city and the renowned world capital of kites. The college has two campuses, Fuyanshan and Binhai, with 15,760 full-time students. It offers 51 majors across 10 professional clusters, including intelligent manufacturing, intelligent connected and new energy vehicles, and next-generation information technology, with 60.8% of them being provincial or national high-quality programs.
To date, the college has established long-term cooperative partnerships with 164 institutions across 25 countries and regions. It has trained over 3,000 international students from more than 30 countries along the Belt and Road and has twice been ranked among the "Top 50 Vocational Colleges in Asia-Pacific with International Influence." The college also hosts a National Overseas Examination Center, authorized to administer tests such as TOEFL and GRE.
II. Program Catalog and Enrollment Plan
The school enrolls long-term non-academic language training students, with a study period of one academic year. Number of admissions: 60.
III. Eligibility Requirements
1.Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens aged between 18 and 23, holding a valid foreign passport, and meet the relevant requirements stipulated in the Notice on Standardizing the Enrollment of International Students by Higher Education Institutions in China (Jiao Wai Han [2020] No. 12) issued by the Ministry of Education, among other regulations.
According to Article 5 of the Nationality Law of the People's Republic of China, a person who has foreign nationality at birth, where one or both parents are Chinese citizens and have settled abroad, does not possess Chinese nationality. When applying, such a person shall hold a valid foreign passport or nationality certificate for a period of four years (inclusive) or more, and have a record of actual residence abroad for two years or more within the most recent four years (before April 30 of the year of admission). (A full nine months of actual residence abroad in a year may be counted as one year, based on entry and exit endorsements.)
2.Applicants must be in good physical and mental health, complying with the "Exit and Entry Administration Law of the People’s Republic of China" as well as the admission medical examination standards set by the state and the university. Applicants suffering from serious chronic diseases, mental disorders, severe physical disabilities, harmful behavioral habits, infectious tuberculosis, sexually transmitted diseases, or other communicable diseases that may pose a significant risk to public health will not be admitted.
3.Applicants must demonstrate good moral character, be willing to abide by the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China as well as university discipline, respect Chinese customs, and have no criminal record.
4.Applicants must hold a high school diploma or above.
5.Applicants must have solid financial capability to cover tuition fees and basic living expenses during their studies.
6.Applicants for language programs must not have previously visited China (including on a tourist visa).
IV. Admission Criteria and Process
(I) Admission Criteria
1.Academic Performance: Applicants should have a strong high school academic record, with all subjects scoring at least 50% or above of the total marks.
2.Comprehensive Qualities: This includes personal moral character, teamwork skills, communication abilities, adaptability, etc. The school will conduct a comprehensive assessment through interviews or other means.
(II) Admission Process
1.Application Period
Generally divided into spring enrollment and fall enrollment.
Spring enrollment applications are accepted from September to December.
Fall enrollment applications are accepted from March to June.
2.Prepare materials
(1) Scanned PDF copy of the highest academic qualification (high school diploma or above) and transcript.
(2) Scanned PDF copy of the Foreigner Physical Examination Form (completed within the last 3 months from the application date).
(3) Scanned PDF copy of passport (must be an ordinary passport), the validity period must exceed 1.5 years.
(4) Scanned PDF copy of a no criminal record certificate (within the validity period).
(5) Scanned PDF copy of financial guarantee proof (no less than CNY 20,000).
(6) Applicant’s recent electronic photo bareheaded and with white-background.
(7) Word document of the Shandong Vocational College of Science and Technology Application Form for Studying in China.
Note: Applicants must ensure that all submitted materials are authentic and valid. Any fraudulent submissions will result in permanent disqualification from applying to this school.
3.Application Process
(1) Submission of Application: Applicants must submit their application materials to the university via email or other specified methods within the designated time frame.
(2) Review and Evaluation: The university will review the application materials and may conduct interviews or other forms of assessment as needed. The review process includes evaluating the applicant’s academic background, grades, language proficiency, health status, and criminal record.
(3) Issuance of Admission Notice: Qualified applicants will receive an Admission Notice and the "Visa Application Form for Study in China (JW202)".
(4) Visa Application: Applicants must bring their ordinary passport, Admission Notice, and "Visa Application Form for Study in China (JW202)" to a Chinese embassy or consulate in their home country to apply for an X1 (Student) Visa.
(5) Registration and Enrollment: Applicants must report to the university by the date specified in the Admission Notice and submit the original copies of required documents, including their passport, academic certificates, transcripts, police clearance certificate (proof of no criminal record), and physical examination records.

VI.Scholarship
Our school has established a school-level scholarship for language applicants. The funding standard is 3,000 yuan per student per academic year. For further details, please refer to the scholarship evaluation guidelines published on the school’s official website.
VII. Registration Instructions
New students must submit the original application materials such as academic qualifications and grades when registering. Those who fail to provide complete information will not be processed for registration by the school.
Our university will conduct a review of new students' admission eligibility, academic credentials, language proficiency, and health status within one month after their registration. Those who pass the review will be officially enrolled.
If the school discovers any of the following circumstances during the review, the student's admission will be revoked:
1.Fraudulent behavior, such as submitting falsified academic certificates, transcripts, medical examination reports, no-criminal-record certificates, admission letters, or other documents;
2.Deliberately concealing one's true health condition despite being aware of not meeting the university’s health requirements;
3.the student who Gain admission through improper means;
4.Any other violations of national or university regulations regarding the admission of international students.
Students who fail the review will have their enrollment canceled and be required to leave the country within a specified period. All international travel expenses shall be borne by the student. The university will invalidate their JW202 form.
VIII. Insurance
The school implements a comprehensive insurance system for all students. On the first day of registration, students are required to purchase insurance at a premium of RMB 800 per year. Insurance is mandatory for completing school procedures. Students are not permitted to refuse or discontinue payment.
