School Party Secretary Zheng Deqian of Shandong Vocational College of Science and Technology Leads Delegation to Germany and Italy for Exchange and Visit

In order to further enhance the international level of the school, introduce advanced educational concepts and teaching methods, and boost the school's international competitiveness, the school Party secretary Zheng Deqian was invited to lead a delegation to Germany and Italy recently, in line with the school's plan of internationalization. During the visit, the delegation actively expanded new partnerships and pathways, promoted deeper inter-school cooperation, and achieved fruitful results in professional development, joint training, and the introduction of teaching modes. The delegation included heads from the Party (Principal) Office, the Department of Intelligent Manufacturing, the Department of Textile and Apparel, and the Department of Economic Management.


At the North Hessen University of Applied Sciences in Germany, the delegation held meetings with Vice President Michael Namokel, Assistant President Susanne Schulz, and other key personnel. They had in-depth exchanges on the ongoing cooperation in logistics management and electrical automation technology and reached an intention to co-establish a cooperative educational institution in the future.

At the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences, the delegation had cordial and friendly talks with Wolfgang Zeller, Dean of the Electrical Engineering Department, Ulrich Weigand, Dean of the Mechanical and Processing Engineering Department, and Professor Reinhard Stolle from the Electrical Engineering Department. Both sides agreed that strengthening industry-academia cooperation is crucial for improving the quality of talent cultivation, promoting industrial upgrading, and increasing student employment, especially amid the rapid development of intelligent manufacturing. They reached cooperative intentions for joint education, credit recognition, and faculty exchanges in the fields of mechanical processing, electrical automation, and industrial robotics.

In Italy, Chairman Domenico Cancellieri and President Patrizio Travagli warmly received the delegation at the Ada Art Academy and Michelangelo Language and Literature Institute. The delegation visited the practical training base of the schools and conducted comprehensive and in-depth discussions on introducing teaching modules for fashion design, targeted faculty training, and international skill competitions. They signed cooperation agreements to co-establish the "Sino-Italian College" and a "Practical Training Base" and held a plaque unveiling ceremony.

Additionally, the delegation visited the Technical University of Munich, the University of Florence, Roma Tre University, the Polytechnic University of Milan, and the Marangoni Fashion Institute, reaching friendly cooperation intentions with these institutions.


This visit allowed the delegation to deeply engage with various universities and enterprises in Germany and Italy, expanding friendly cooperative relations, establishing platforms for exchange and cooperation, enlarging the school's network, enhancing its international influence, and opening a new chapter in deep cooperation with higher education institutions and enterprises in Germany and Italy in areas such as professional development, talent cultivation, faculty training, and the construction of practical training bases.
