On September 18, 2026, the People's Government of Shandong Province issued the Reply of the People's Government of Shandong Province on the Establishment of Inha Institute of Shandong Polytechnic University (Lu Zheng Zi [2026] No.124), approving the establishment of Inha Institute of Shandong Polytechnic University.This college is jointly established by Shandong Polytechnic University and Inha University of South Korea; it is a Sino-foreign cooperative educational institution without legal person status. The college offers three associate degree programs: Mechatronics Technology (460301H), Electrical Automation Technology (460306H), and Big Data Technology (510205H).

This marks the university’s first Sino-foreign cooperative education institution, signifying a pivotal step in the university's internationalization efforts, as well as a strategic initiative to enhance its internationalized educational characteristics at this new starting point of its transition to offering undergraduate programs. The three majors are closely aligned with the development needs of intelligent manufacturing and the digital economy in Shandong Province, and strongly complement the disciplinary strengths of Inha University of South Korea in the field of engineering technology. Together, they will cultivate a greater number of high-quality technical and skilled professionals with an international perspective to support regional industrial upgrading.

Inha University in South Korea is a top-tier international research-intensive comprehensive university in Asia and one of South Korea's key prestigious universities. It is designated as a BK21PLUS university under the Brain Korea21 initiative of the South Korean Ministry of Education, a LINC+ university prioritized for industry-academia collaboration, and currently ranks 555th in the latest QS World University Rankings.

Moving forward, the university will steadfastly adhere to the socialist orientation in its educational practices, rigorously comply with all regulatory requirements governing Sino-foreign cooperative education programs, standardize its institutional operations, deepen pedagogical reforms, fully leverage the advantages of its cooperative education platforms, innovate talent cultivation models, and continuously enhance the overall quality of its educational offerings, thereby bolstering and optimizing the university's high-quality development.
