On the afternoon of July 10, the college held a graduation ceremony for international students at the Siemens Auditorium. Liu Fuyu, Deputy Party Secretary and President of the college, attended and delivered a speech. The ceremony was presided over by Xu Xiaoyan, a member of the Party Committee and Vice President, with participation from faculty representatives and all international students.
Liu Fuyu, representing the college, extended congratulations to all international students. He pointed out that the university has always adhered to the principles of openness and inclusiveness, deepening international exchanges and cooperation. Currently, the college has established cooperative relationships with 164 universities in 26 countries, having trained over 3,000 international students for more than 30 countries along the Belt and Road. He highly praised the outstanding growth of international students under the influence of the "Jing·Wei" campus culture: they excelled in various language practices and activities, actively experienced China's intangible cultural heritage (such as Weifang Yangjiabu New Year paintings), participated in folk activities like making dumplings during the Spring Festival, and engaged in volunteer services such as "One Hour Campus Volunteer Activity," demonstrating a sense of social responsibility. At the same time, students have injected multicultural vitality into the campus through events like the International Culture Festival, promoting cultural exchanges. He earnestly hoped that students would become ambassadors of cultural exchange between China and the world in the future, telling the world stories of China, the charm of Shandong, and the warmth of Shanke, while conveying their own culture and friendship.
At the ceremony, the Party and administrative leaders of the International Education Department announced the list of outstanding graduates for the class of 2025 and the inaugural appointments of international student alumni liaisons. Fan Fang, a faculty representative, reflected on the shared growth experiences with international students and expressed her earnest hopes for their future development. Bushan, a graduate representative from the Republic of Congo, shared his year-long learning journey and personal growth at Shandong Vocational College of Science and Technology, pledging to dedicate himself to education and technology upon returning to China, contributing to China-Africa cooperation. Maidi, a representative of the alumni liaison from Cameroon, stated that he would diligently fulfill his liaison duties, actively build an information-sharing platform, and support the development of the school's international education initiatives.
Subsequently, the school leadership and members of the International Education Department's leadership team presented certificates to outstanding graduates, alumni liaisons, and all graduates. Each certificate embodies their dedication and perseverance, stands as a testament to their struggles and achievements, and carries the alma mater's heartfelt blessings for every overseas student. Finally, the entire faculty and student community took a group photo to capture this precious and unforgettable moment.
The college will further strengthen international educational collaboration, enhance the quality of international students in China, and cultivate more high-caliber technical professionals with global perspectives, mastery of international regulations, and cross-cultural communication skills, thereby making greater contributions to building a community with a shared future for mankind.
