On May 26, a five-member delegation from the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Karakalpakstan Republic visited the college. The delegation was accompanied by Feng Xiuhong, President of Weifang Industry-Education Integration Research Institute, and Wang Xiaowen, Deputy Director of Central Asia Education (Uzbekistan) Exchange and Research Development Center. Liu Fuyu, Deputy Party Secretary and President of the college, received the delegation and held a symposium. The meeting was chaired by Xu Xiaoyan, Vice President and Party Committee member, with representatives from the Department of Information Engineering, Department of Architectural Engineering, and the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange in attendance.
On behalf of the college, Liu Fuyu extended a warm welcome to the delegation from the Karakoram-Pakistan Republic. He presented the university's recent progress in talent development, academic program enhancement, and international collaboration, while expressing the hope for expanding cooperation areas and diversifying exchange channels between the two sides.
The Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Karakalpakstan presented an overview of Uzbekistan and the founding history of Karakalpakstan State University. The Vice President of Karakalpakstan State University introduced the university's profile, academic programs, laboratory facilities, and international collaborations, expressing hope for new breakthroughs in student exchange programs, faculty training, and language training initiatives between the two sides.
During the visit, the guests toured the school's Shandong Intelligent Manufacturing Public Training Base, the National Garment Production Training Base, and the Green Building and Intelligent Construction Training Base.
This exchange event has strengthened the communication between the two institutions. Going forward, both sides will conduct in-depth discussions on specific collaboration areas to ensure the smooth implementation of cooperative projects.
